NATIONAL AGE CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT
The Australian Age Championships were held in Sydney from April 5 th to 10 th 2010. This is the highest level Age based swimming Competition in Australia with challenging qualifying times.
This year there were five swimmers representing the O&M over the six day competition at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
Reid Fagan of GT Aquatics made the finals of the 100m Breaststroke coming home in 10 th place.
Georgia Stadelman of Myrtleford came 32 nd in the 50m Freestyle.
Josh Fagan of GT Aquatics competed in both the 50m and 100m Freestyle events taking out 20 th place in each.
Brad Graham of Myrtleford came 20 th in the 100m Butterfly, 29 th in the 50m Freestyle and 43 rd in the 100m Freestyle.
Eliza Ham of Wangaratta took out 14 th place in the 200m Individual Medley, 22 nd in the 100m Butterfly, 36 th in the 100m Freestyle, 23 rd in the 100m Breaststroke and 13 th in the 100m Backstroke. She was unlucky to be disqualified in the 400m Individual Medley after an impressive swim.
All these swimmers are to be congratulated on making it to this most elite level of competition which is a tribute to their consistent hard training over the season.
