2019 Country Junior District Competition

Ovens & Murray Rep Team

On Saturday 9th November 36 of our local swimmers participated in the 2019 Country District 8-12 Competition (formerly the 7-10 encouragement Meet) at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Our 36 swimmers competed in a total of 166 individual events and 10 relays, for many of our swimmers this was their first time representing the District and the opportunity to swim at MSAC.

There were 67 personal bests swam throughout the day, we also had many swimmers in the top 10 for most events.

Our total score for the day was 1199 putting us in 3rd position, an improvement on last year by 2 places.

Well done to all our swimmers, thank you for a great day of swimming.

Thanks to our Coaches for the Day Andrea Thwaites, Liam Wright and Matthew Whitehouse, Team Managers Sonia Bullivant and Ben Charlton and our photographer Glenn Delaney.

Thanks to the parents for getting your swimmers to the pool and your assistance with the timekeeping.

Congratulations to Michael Ruhbaum for also making his debut at MSAC as a Technical Official.
